Are we what we think we are or the one that others think of us?

Are you actually yourself when with others or just playing your role which best suits your image in front of them. Their choice becomes yours… and so easily you forget that it is soft music that you like and not the hard rock stuff.
Why?

The situations like being humiliated in childhood for reasons like looks, unable to speak, failure to do a task can have two radically different consequences…
Some people opt for revenge and try to be really good at things what others thought they are not good at.

Others however accept their limitations and then things go from bad to worse. They grow up being insecure and obedient although they dream one day they will be free and do whatever they want. They get married to prove they are not ugly although deep down inside they still believe they are.

They are entrapped by a syndrome when they forget who they are and start believing what other people say about them. They lose their sheen and give up the innocence they were born with. Gradually over the years they become mediocre beings concerned not to be seen as weird and over enthusiastic.

Being accepted becomes more important than being yourself

  1. Well scripted...Yes most of us do each & every action to be socially recognized.. to become an integral part of a group, many keep changing according to others wish.. Some times we are compelled to do so.
But Few Enjoy their own way of thinking.. Few enjoy to be called trend setters.. to be recognised as over emotional, over enthusiastic.
Till our soul keep on saying we are right; I'm not saying about ego.. we must feel the we are.Do what we want.
I don't believe that having an independent identity we should be threat to any social group.. nor I recommend that we shouldn't adapt or agree to others point of view. but over & after listening patiently to all. We must select the best to do & say!Social-recognition is important but Self recognition & self respect is also equally important.
Do enjoy company of different people but Never loose your God-gifted exclusive identity!
